Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 24, 2026
StackSwitch ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at stackswitch.app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
Email Address
We collect your email address only when you voluntarily submit it through one of our forms — the newsletter signup, quiz result email, or pricing alerts form. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or any other personal data.
Analytics Data
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. Plausible collects aggregate page view data only — no individual visitors are tracked or identified.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Email: To send you the content you requested — comparison updates, quiz results, or pricing alerts. We may occasionally send relevant budgeting app updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Analytics: To understand which pages are most useful and improve our content.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate StackSwitch:
- Resend — Email delivery. Your email address is stored in our Resend audience to send transactional and newsletter emails. Resend processes data in the United States.
- Plausible Analytics — Privacy-focused, cookie-free web analytics. No personal data is collected or shared.
- Vercel — Website hosting. Vercel may process server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) as part of standard web hosting. We do not access or store this data.
Affiliate Links
StackSwitch contains affiliate links to budgeting apps (Monarch Money, YNAB, Copilot Money, Rocket Money, and Simplifi). When you click an affiliate link, the destination app or affiliate network may use cookies or tracking pixels to attribute your visit. We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties. Please review their individual privacy policies before signing up.
All affiliate links are clearly marked with rel="nofollow sponsored" and disclosed in our site footer.
4. Cookies
StackSwitch does not set any cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any form of browser-based tracking. Plausible Analytics is entirely cookie-free.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email, or by visiting our unsubscribe page.
- Request deletion of your email address from our systems by emailing us at the address below.
- Access the data we hold about you (your email address and subscription status) by contacting us.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your email address in our subscriber list until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Upon unsubscribe, your email is removed from our active audience. We do not maintain separate backups of subscriber data.
7. Children's Privacy
StackSwitch is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their email address, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We will not materially reduce your rights without providing notice.
